What RingMatcher is here to do

About RingMatcher

RingMatcher is a free engagement ring style finder with optional one-time planning reports and a destination-aware retailer finder. It does not sell rings.

A clearer place to start

Most engagement ring searches begin with thousands of products and unfamiliar language. RingMatcher begins with the person: what they already love, how they use their hands, which details they avoid, their diamond preference, and the amount you feel comfortable spending.

We call the result a Ringprint: one suggested shape, setting, metal, and rough center-stone range, plus a plain-language explanation of why the recommendation may fit. It is a personalized comparison brief—not a guarantee of taste, a jeweler’s quote, or a product recommendation.

What you get today

The current public service includes one free Ringprint created through the website and a separate retailer finder for comparing a curated research pool by destination and shopping needs. The free Ringprint requires no account, payment card, checkout, or app. You can download it as an image or create a link to share the visible brief.

After the free result, a payment-enabled deployment offers The Shortlist, The Complete Ring Plan, and The Couple’s Edition as optional one-time Stripe purchases. They are not subscriptions, and no RingMatcher user account is required; access is verified for the browser that begins checkout.

Photos are optional. You can complete the questions alone, or add up to three style references when image analysis is available. Face photos are never required.

What the diamond finder covers

RingMatcher currently covers colorless-to-near-colorless natural and lab-grown diamonds in 10 major center-stone shapes: round, oval, princess, emerald, cushion, pear, radiant, marquise, Asscher, and heart. That is broad coverage of popular shapes—not every cut that exists.

Fancy-color diamonds, colored gemstones, moissanite, and specialty or proprietary cuts are outside the current matching scope. If one of those is your goal, use a specialist who can evaluate that material and category directly.

Guidance before products

The Ringprint is created without using a retailer catalog, which keeps the style match focused on the person rather than on one store’s products.

Separately, the retailer finder compares a limited, curated research pool for supported destinations. It uses dated information from retailer-owned policy and service pages and keeps unknowns visible. It does not claim complete market coverage, a market-wide ‘best jeweler’ ranking, live inventory, or current pricing.

The Ringprint and retailer finder are starting points for comparison. Verify the grading report with its issuer; match the stone’s measurements, weight, grades or assessment, origin, disclosed treatments, and inscription; and confirm the ring’s metal, construction, size, setting, comfort, and wedding-band fit.

Before paying, also confirm the itemized finished price, availability, delivery date, returns, warranty, resizing, and service. Until those details are verified for the exact offer, the Ringprint remains a comparison brief rather than a purchase-ready recommendation.

Useful advice, honest limits

Taste is personal and context matters. RingMatcher keeps explicit preferences and hard no’s visible and connects the most relevant clues to one plausible starting point. It does not identify people from photos or infer sensitive traits.

The final choice belongs to the wearer or couple. If the evidence is unclear, discussing the ring together or choosing a seller with a strong exchange policy is more thoughtful than pretending an algorithm can know for certain.

Person first

Style and everyday-wear clues shape the brief without using a store catalog.

An explanation included

The result explains how key style clues and practical limits support the recommendation.

Choice stays yours

Every result is a focused place to begin, not a verdict or guarantee.

No automatic ethics or investment claims

Natural and lab-grown are origin categories, not automatic proof that a diamond is ethical, sustainable, low-carbon, traceable, or responsibly produced. Any such claim needs specific, independently checked evidence about the relevant producer and supply chain.

RingMatcher does not predict resale value or present diamonds or rings as investments. Price, future value, and insurability require separate evidence and professional judgment.

What RingMatcher does not provide

RingMatcher does not sell, stock, quote, ship, inspect, certify, appraise, authenticate, insure, or service jewelry. The retailer finder summarizes research; it does not make a retailer listing or policy current, and it does not turn one into a purchase-ready offer. A RingMatcher result is not a grading report, certification, appraisal, insurance valuation, or guarantee.

Optional paid reports and one-time Stripe checkout are part of the service when payments are explicitly enabled. They do not create a subscription, a user account, or permanent cross-device access. Native mobile apps are not part of the current public service, and the current process-local paid report sessions can be interrupted by a server restart or deployment.
